These are parts that you'd use to swap this or that engines or transaxles or whatever, into various vanagon bodies - as described :
| Engine Cradle Bars - 4-speed Diesel Vanagon type, 3 sets, used. A Set inlcudes two black engine cradle bars, brackets for the end of each bar, two used Diesel Vanagon rubber engine mounts, and a tie bar that goes under the engine, and most of the nuts and bolts to join all them, and some of the bolts needed to bolt them into the vanagon. You will know in advnce precisely what you are getting, and in what condition. A full set, with almost every last nut, bolt, and washer needed just bolt it in, in fairly clean and not-rusted condtion is $ 275.00, less if you make your own tie bar to go under the engine, etc. Plus shipping and handling. |

Useful if you are going to manufacture your own left side mounting sytem to clear your turbo etc. Missing the small brackets at front and rear ends that adapt this bar to the Vanagon body, but those are fairly easy to fabricate with welding. | ADAPTER REAR SHIFT RODS . . . the ealier vanagon transalxes with the shifter on the front housing is considered to be stronger than the normal 1983-and- above waterboxer 4-speed transaxle. These Rear Shift Rods, about 4 feet long, just bolt into place in the shift linkage, in place of the existing rear shift rod, allowing the earlier type transxle to be used in place of the later type.....TWO in stock, havn't tried them myself, but they were made specifically for this application, and look very nicely made, like race car parts .....steel, could use painting. $ 95.00 each.
