ANSWER to "WINDOW CRANK HANDLES" . . . . . the handles break off first....to preserve the mechanism in the window ! That mechanism inside the door usually never gets lubed or serviced in any way. . . . .. it just gets stiffer and stickier gradually over a long period of time. . . .. and will eventually break . .. BUT . . .if the window crank handle breaks first . .. . it protects the 'coulda-been- made- better' window mechanism inside the door ! . . . . . . . ( when I notice a window is getting stiff to roll up and down, I at least spray some silicone lube into the glass guide channels . . ..that helps a little. . .. the 'real' service is to take the door panel off and spray a high quality synthetic spray lube into the window raising-and-and-lowering mechanism until it's nice and smooth. A friend of mine did this for about 30 minutes. . . spray, wind up and down, spray, wind up and down, etc.. ... .and totally saved a hundred dollar window regulator ! )
A. The BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR is located under the speedometer cover in front of the steering wheel. Grab the front edge of the large brown plastic cover and pull up and back, disengaging it from the front lower edge.....find the black plastic reservoir cap on the white bottle.....that's the brake fluid reservoir.....shake it left and right a little to slosh the fluid level a little to make the level easier to see. You'll see a 'max' mark on the left side of the bottle....don't fill over that. There must be an air space at the top of the resevoir. ( why ? ....see 'quiz' < not ready yet - coming > )
B. REAR SEAT HEATER - Under the back seat, about in the middle - you'll see a black metal cover. Towards the passenger's side ( the right side ) of the van, there is a hole ...about two inche long, fore to aft - - reach in there with your fingers to feel a lever....about an inch long, pointing down.....forward is 'on.' Keep it at least half on, or mid-travel, so that some coolant is always circulating through this heater core . . .if the valve is kept closed the anti-freeze/water coolant mixture will deteriorate after a great number of months...resulting in a leaky rear heater core.
