this a left side view of a 3.3 liter, 230 hp Subaru SVX engine in a syncro vanagon, using an 'under engine' engine mounting cradle bar system - that aluminum bar behind the shock is part of that mounting system.

Repair Philosophy
: What I really do is serve people......I
just happen to use fixing cars as the 'vehicle' to do it with.
There is a
certain type of communication, a creating understanding between people,
in the repair process, that I seek to do, ( and write about, and teach when I
can find the opportunity )
that brings an assurance to the customer.... and
assurance that :
- the diagnosis is
correct,
- the right thing is being done to their car,
- their money is
being invested wisely,
- they are getting good value,
- the work is being
done properly,
- that they will be informed of anything else on the vehicle
they should know about,
- in short, that their safety and their
money-spending is being protected & optimized.
Provide that for the customer, and
smart ones will recognize it and appreciate it endlessly. Oh ! . . . . and
Honesty and Solid Workmanship go without saying, of course.
If
you deliver results promised, on time, on budget, the customer will be happy
every time. It is my goal to help make that happen in repair world through
writing and teaching about it.
